June 2025 Year-Over-Year Highlights
  • Bankruptcy filings including all chapters totaled 46226, a 15% increase from the June 2024 total of 40,293.
  • Commercial chapter 11 filings decreased 38 percent to 622 in June 2025 from the 996 filings recorded in June 2024.
  • Commercial filings were 2571, an 8 percent decrease in June 2025 compared to the 2781 filed in June 2024.
  • Subchapter V small business elections decreased 31 percent to 221 in June 2025 from the 321 filings last June. For more on subchapter V filing stats from ABI's analysis, please click here.
  • Individual filings increased 16% to 43,655, up from the June 2024 individual filing total of 37,512.
