Mark Moore of Foley & Lardner LLP Selected as One of ABI's 2024 "40 Under 40"
Alexandria, Va.— ABI announces that Mark Moore of Foley & Lardner LLP (Dallas) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s award program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. The honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony on Dec. 13 during ABI’s 2024 Winter Leadership Conference at The Phoenician Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Moore is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP in Dallas and has more than a decade of experience in bankruptcy law, representing chapter 11 debtors in some of the most intricate and high-stakes cases in the region. He focuses his practice areas on complex chapter 11 debtor cases, appellate, creditor committee representation, and litigation in the energy, health care and life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, and he is experienced in complex commercial litigation. Moore is a member of the State Bar of Texas’s Young Lawyer’s Committee, the Federal Bar Association and the Turnaround Management Association. He also is the founder and managing editor of OurDailyBears.com, which became Oso Media Group in 2024, and the incoming coach of the SMU team at the Duberstein Memorial Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition.
Moore has two children with spinal muscular atrophy, also known as SMA. He and his wife quickly became experts after their children were both diagnosed, and his wife has been a Texas Chapter leader of Cure SMA for more than 10 years and been heavily involved in advocacy, regulatory reform and community. After one of their children died from SMA in December 2019, he began to get more involved in advocacy, speaking to Texas legislators in Austin and federal legislators in Washington, D.C., on multiple occasions.
“We are honored to celebrate the exceptional leaders within the 2024 class as they continue to make a significant impact both in their practice and in their communities,” said ABI Executive Director Amy Quackenboss. “As bankruptcy practice continues to evolve, this diverse collection of honorees will propel ABI and the insolvency community forward.”
The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Now in its eighth year, the goal of ABI’s “40 Under 40” award program is not simply to create a one-time ceremony, but to fully engage those selected as future leaders in the insolvency profession and to build on the initiative each year.
